Thanksgiving

I just got back from a run and I feel great! I am very fortunate to have a couple of great kids, a loving and best-friend Dad and lots and lots of friends. I feel that the past year has been such a gift. I am thankful that I lurked for so long on these blogs to get the inspiration to finally start my life over. I think the whole process of friendship and support is really just to get a person to see the person that others see and love even when you are unable to love yourself. I have a dear friend who told me recently that it actually hurt to see me hating myself so much and that she was so glad I was free of that old person.

LapBand surgery was not the silver bullet but the ray of hope that I had lost so long ago. I hope all of my blogging buddies have a great day with their friends and families. Let's not forget the lonely, sad, or sick and say a special prayer for them today!
